Week 14

This week I have continued with my normal weekly workload of blog posts and social media posts on Facebook and Twitter.

This week we added more products to the company's Transit Custom, this was a perfect opportunity for me to create an Instagram story on Van Demon's Instagram

I will be trying to build our followers on Instagram and Twitter over the next few months, we need to compete with our competitors by having a bigger social media presence.

This week I have began using Google Analytics, I started by playing around with all the tabs and gaining a better understanding of how it works. By the end of this week I have completed a social media report from Google Analytics, looking at how my social media posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter have been doing. I found this really interesting because I have learnt what does and doesn't work and how successful my posts have actually been.

My social media report looked at our organic social. I began by looking at the revenue, sessions, conversion and bounce rate from each platform over the month. I put all my findings in a spreadsheet and compared them to September.

I then compared the followers and level of engagements for each platform from September and October. I then added a secondary dimension of Landing pages and viewed which landing pages were doing the best by looking at the revenue, and bounce rate from all social links.

To begin with, I was very confused by this report, I struggled to properly understand all the information in Google Analytics and pick out the relevant information for my report. I will be sitting down with Emma when I am next here to go over it, once we are both happy with it I will be sending it out to my colleagues.

I'm glad I am learning new things here and my daily workload is changing slightly.✌

  1. It is fab that you are picking up lots of skills on Google analytics. The reports you are producing for work can be added to your portfolio as evidence :-)
