Week 13

So on Tuesday I attended the Whitby Morrison 2019 Event, we had a great day and got some really good content. Whitby Morrison are the worlds leading ice cream van manufacturers and they are based down the road from us, in Crewe.  Before heading to the event I was given the Van Demon Instagram account details by Emma, this was so I could post Instagram Stories whilst we were at the event. So I know have access to all of Knetic's social media pages, I'm really happy about this and will continue posting on them daily.  When we arrived at the event we were greeted with over 15 bright and colourful ice-cream vans, we instantly started taking images of all the vans there. There was a range of new ice-cream vans but there was also vans from their heritage collection, it was great to see how much ice-cream vans have changed over time. Their modern vans were really impressive, my favourite one was the 'Partners in Cream' which they made in partnership with the  Cheshi...

On Monday I had my Competitor Analysis presentation in front of Amy, the Commercial Director! I was really nervous because I have never like presenting, but it went really well. I was really happy with how it went and Amy and Emma were both happy with it, some of the points I made are going to be looked into and see if changes can be made. So this week I have done my usual weekly workload,  firstly I completed two blogs for each website. For Van Demon I wrote: The 10 Best Van Accounts to Follow on Instagram    What is a bonnet guard and why do you need one? And for Simply Car the two I wrote were: 10 Most Annoying things Anyone who Owns a Car can Relate to What Does the Colour of your Car say About you I have been continuing uploading social posts to Facebook daily and measuring the engagement rate and the number of people they reached. I will soon be starting to use Google Analytics to measure the success of my social posts and blog posts, in preparation of t...

Week 11

I have been back at Knetic this week and I feel like I haven't stopped, I am proud of what I have achieved this week. So at the beginning of the week I had my second review with Emma from Escalla where I completed my block report and set myself targets with my mentor Emma Wilde. Following this me and Emma Wilde had a meeting where she asked if I could complete a competitor analysis report for both Van Demon and Simply Car, we outlined a rough template for the report. I have completed both reports for each company, I now need to put my information into a power point presentation to present the Marketing Manager, Amy next week! I am really nervous about this as I believe one of my weaknesses if presenting and public speaking, but I am ready to step out of my comfort zone and do my best. Throughout the week I have written and uploaded 4 blog posts, this week for Van Demon I created two product based blogs; Everything you need to know about chrome accessories and 5 Reasons why you...

This week I completed my first training week at Escalla, I had a really good week and feel like I learnt a lot. It was great getting to know everyone I will be completing my training with for the next year! Everyone was really friendly and I'm sure we will all get on great.😃 Here's an image of us all with Escalla's office dog Teddy. The week was our first week looking at Online and Offline Marketing, we learnt about the following: the 7ps of marketing - I learnt what each element was and how these applied to my business. The Product life cycle - I linked this model to my businesses products. Team Structure - we created a hierarchy of all the employees in my business including their job title and roles. Key Departments within the business - I named all the departments from my business and explained what they do and how my role as a marketer relates to them. Shared Objectives - I looked into my business shared objectives and then analysed why these need to be shar...
