Week 27

So, this week I have been working hard to reach my project targets for the month. Unfortunately, sales have been slow this week even though I have listed more expensive items to try and reach my £1500 target. I didn't meet my £1500 target, I was close with £190 off-target and I am very annoyed with how close I was! But I did hit the target for my 100% Feedback, I have a 100% feedback rating on both of my eBay channels so I am happy with that! Through doing this project I have been working on my photography and photoshop skills because I need to photograph the products I need to list and edit them on Photoshop before I list them. Apart from focusing on the project, I have been doing my blog posts and social posts which are getting more engagement week on week and followers are building. Today I completed my January social report that I will be sending out on Monday and that included lots of positives, for Van Demon the revenue created through social media has doubled since Dec...

Week 25 and 26

These two weeks I have been focusing heavily on the new project I have been given for 2020. My project is to take over one of our eBay shops Demon4x4, I need to hit a revenue target each month and get our feedback to 100%. To do this, I have been photographing and listing some of our stock on to the eBay shop and requesting feedback from our buyers. I have enjoyed doing something different and it made me focus and understand the company as a whole more. The first week I did find it all quite overwhelming as I was getting used to how to do everything and I had a lot of products to list, I was struggling to do my weekly workload and the eBay project at the same time. But this week I have managed a lot better now I understand what I am doing and all my products are listed. I have also completed all my blog posts and scheduled my social posts for the week. This week for one of my blog posts I went over to Voyager which is a company we work quite closely with to interview the owner. T...

Week 24-Fourth Training Week

So this week I have been at Escalla for another training week and we have finished our Principles of Business module. So I have completed another report! This week we have looked at the following topics and talked about how they are relevant to my job role and company: Industry Developments-new tools, platforms and trends available to digital marketers.  Brand Awareness- branding, my company's brand guidelines, logos and copyright within branding.  Rules of social media- participation, connection, conversions, community, listening.  Building relationships with customers through different processes.  Hashtags. Threats to digital information. Legal requirements- GDPR etc.  Organisational policies and procedures.  I have found it all very interesting and I have enjoyed learning more about business principles as well as social media.  I also completed the Google Analytics IQ course and test so now I have completed the beginners, advanced a...

Week 23

Well, Christmas and New Year is all over now and it's back to reality!😕 So this has been a short week at work, but a lot of planning has been put in place for 2020. We have all had a meeting to understand what the company wants to achieve this year and how we can all help, so we have been given little projects for us to focus on that are outside of our usual workload but I will be introduced to this the week after my training week at Escalla. So I have been set some January targets by my manager surrounding our social media platforms: To gain 100 followers on our Facebook page. Maintain an average engagement rate of 9% on Facebook.  Reach a Facebook Revenue of £200. Reach 500 followers on Instagram. I believe I will reach these targets as I have been experimenting with different content and the times I am scheduling our posts for.  As well as this, the marketing team had a meeting where we set out a content strategy for January this included social media, blog...
