Week 57

I am so nearly at the end of my apprenticeship, I have my EPA booked and my final deadline for my portfolio! I can't believe how quick this time has gone, It doesn't seem two minutes since I was starting my apprenticeship at Knetic. I have very nearly finished all my portfolio, just one final push to get it al completed! Overall, I have learnt so much from Knetic and Escalla that I can't wait to continue learning as I progress through my career. I have had the best time meeting everyone at Knetic and made some great memories, I can't thank Emma enough for helping me with everything, she's been great! 👍 I am so proud of myself for how much personal growth I have achieved, working at Knetic has really helped me build my confidence and self-belief. I have developed so many skills including time management, team work, people skills, problem solving and of course my creative thinking.  I am excited to continue my career and see where it takes me!✌

Week 55 - TikTok Ad Reprimand

This week I came across a news story which caught my attention. It was this news article: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-54797919 It was about Emily Canham who is a tiktok star that got reprimanded for not mentioning that her video was an advert using the #ad hashtag or a similar label which shows followers that the post is a paid advert.  It's a rule that recently came in, and it is a rule that states all social media posts that are a part of a paid deal must state this it is an advert through the us of a tag in the caption.  In this case, Emily was reprimanded by the ASA after she failed to label her tiktok video as a paid advert using the hashtag. She was then not paid for the promoting of GHD through this tiktok post after GHD confirmed promoting the code on tiktok was not a part of the contract arranged between GHD and Emily.  I found this story interesting because it made me have a better understanding or sponsorship and influencer advertising. I w...

Week 53 - The COVID Test and Trace App

This week I decided to write about our current climate of Coronavirus instead of my work as everything is going as normal.   Something that is now widely used around the UK is the NHS track and trace app, which is an app created by the NHS to check in at venues, identify close contact of people who test positive, or alert visitors to a premises that have suffered an outbreak. If you receive a notification from the app advising you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, the app will advise whether you need to get tested or isolate and how long for.  If someone has the app downloaded on their phone and they come in close proximity with someone else who has the app and both devices have their blue tooth on, the app will register this contact and the length of time these people were in proximity with each other. I think this is really good tool for people to have at the moment to keep everyone as safe as possible whilst reducing the risk of spr...

Week 51

Knetic has been so busy this week, everyone has been so busy. This week I even worked an afternoon in the warehouse packaging up orders ready for dispatch, it was more fun than I thought it would be! Customer services has been a little busier this week as the inbox was over 100 on Monday morning but we got it down fairly quickly. So nothing new or different to report with customer services. I've done a lot of outlet work this week for my eBay shop, I've photographed and listed a lot of new items on the shop and my sales have started going up again! My sales have gone up 124.3% compared to last month which is great, so hopefully these sales will keep going up. I enjoy doing the outlet because it is a great way for the company to make more money and make use of stock that can't be sold on our website.  I'm really enjoying working at  Knetic currently, I'm getting on with everyone well and the atmosphere in the office makes the weeks fly by!✌

Week 46 - 50

I decided to bulk September's blog posts together because I don't have much to report.  Customer services has been going well, our inbox is nearly down to 0 by the end of every day which is great because all customer queries are being answered. Lucy shared today that our message response time has gone from 12 hours 19 minutes to 5 hours 47 minutes since the start of September. I'm really happy with this because we have really been putting in the work to keep the inbox low.  Amy is back in a few weeks so I will be returning to the marketing team in October/ November. I'm excited to get back to it and continue with the social pages, blogs and learn more about the marketing within Knetic. ✌

Week 44 and 45

This two weeks in customer services have been good so far, I am a lot more confident in my role here and feel like I've settled back into the customer services role well.  There isn't much new to report over these two weeks as I pretty much now know everything to do with customer services now which I am very proud of myself considering I have only been back just over a month! This week I have dealt with a couple of difficult customers who did make my first Monday awful, but as we say the 'customer is always right' even if they aren't. But I bounced back from it and now the rest of the week and this week is going well. ✌

Week 42 and 43

Not much has changed since my last post, other than I am doing really well in the customer services team! Currently in the team, there is Leigh who I work along side of and Lucy who has been training us both and overseeing customer services. All together we have really turned the customer services department around, all phone calls are being answered and all messages in the inbox are being answered within 24 hours. Even in a couple of weeks since I've been back, things have really changed for the better. I am pretty confident on all customer queries now, I would say I only struggle on the technical product queries but the technical team are always there to help me answer them.  Me and Lucy have been discussing starting to focus some time on the eBay outlet stores, as no one has really been overseeing these since lock down. We will be listing more products that we have available and making sure we keep our top seller status.  The whole warehouse has changed since I've bee...
